More crawler cranes for Weldex
UK-based crane rental company Weldex has started 2017 off with a bang with an order for eight Liebherr crawler cranes , following close on the heels of an order for eight Hitachi Sumitomo crawler cranes.
The eight Liebherr cranes include five LTR telescopic crawlers along with a 750 tonne LR 1750, a 600 tonne LR 1600 and a 500 tonne LR 1500.

The £5.5 million order for Hitachi Sumitomo cranes included a 350 tonne SCX3500-3 the first in the UK, shown last year at Bauma, plus a second SCX3500-3 both with full luffing jib attachments, and six 80 tonne SCX800A-3 which was launched at Vertikal Days.

Weldex purchased the first of the £5.5 million, eight Hitachi Sumitomo crane order - a 350 tonne SCX3500-3 the first in the UK - which was exhibited at Bauma last year.
The Hitachi units, which have now all been delivered, were purchased through UK dealer NRC Plant.
