Grove cranes for Thai power

Thai electrical company Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has ordered eight 40 tonne two axle Grove GMK2035E All Terrain cranes.

The GMK2035Es, purchased through Grove's distributor for Thailand VDS Machinery, were ordered with the standard 29 metre four section main booms and no extensions. They will be used to erect electric power poles and install transformers at sites around Thailand.

The new cranes join a fleet that includes six GMK2035 machines, the predecessors of the GMK2035E that were purchased by PEA in 2000. The first units have were handed over in Bangkok with the balance of the order due to be delivered by then end of March.
