Scissor overturn

An electrical contractor was seriously injured yesterday, when the scissor lift he was using overturned in Jacksonville, Florida.

The man said to be in his 70s was replacing a light bulb at a warehouse of a wheel supply company in the city. The man, who was working with Liberty Electric, fell around 10 metres to the concrete floor, striking his head in the process.

Police have reported that his injuries are life threatening. In a statement they also cited equipment failure as the cause, but were not specific as to what kind of failure, although we understand that the machine ended up on its side.
