The main features include the hoist positioned alongside the cab which allows more drum capacity and a reduced out of service radius. Different winch options are available with maximum speeds of up to 178 metres a minute and 1,280 metres drum capacity.

Comansa expects the new cranes to be popular in markets such as Thailand, South Korea and Malaysia where there are many high-rise construction projects and demand for luffing tower cranes is increasing. The model exhibited at the show has been sold to Thai dealer Smart (1994). In total three CML190s were sold at the show.
