Two Terex's for Malaysian port

Malaysian port operator Sabah Ports has ordered two Terex ship-to-shore cranes.

The cranes have a maximum capacity of 41 tonnes under twin-lift spreader, an outreach of 45 metres and are designed to load and unload container vessels with up to 15 rows. They will help the port, located along the busy shipping routes between the Far East and Europe, with its increasing handling rates.

The cranes will be sent to Sabah Ports' Sapangar Bay Container Port on the north coast of the island of Borneo, and are due to be put into operation in the second half of 2017. The two cranes are part of a series of orders that Sabah Ports placed with Terex - in June, for one Gottwald Model 2 mobile harbour crane as well as two reach stackers, one for Sabah’s terminal in the Port of Sandakan and the other for the Port of Tawau.
