Fatal crane unloading

The owner of a used equipment service company near Holland, Michigan died yesterday, after the Rough Terrain crane he was unloading from a truck slipped off the side of the trailer and overturned onto the crane cab.

Robert Jay Geurink, 55, , the owner of HES Equipment Services/A&B Farms, died at the scene. Police say that Geurink was working alone at the time and that no one witnessed the actual fall.

The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.
