Raimondi adds German agent

Raimondi Cranes has appointed Kwitek Krane as the official agent for its full range of tower cranes in southern Germany.

The company, based in Wenzenbach on the north east side of Regensburg, Bavaria, was established in 1975, in the nearby town of Pettendorf by Richard Kwitek and his wife, offering a crane spare parts and repair service from their garage. The business gradually expanded over the years into crane transport, installation and rental, as well as sales.

In 2010 Kwitek’s son Richard Kwitek junior, took over the family business and continued the expansion programme. After several moves in the Regensburg area the company acquired a 25,000 square metre plot in Wezenbach, and in March of this year moved into its new headquarters on the site.

Ahmed Alkhoshaibi chief executive of Raimondi owner KBW Investments said: “Over the course of several meetings, including a visit and tour of Kwitek Krane headquarters, it was apparent that establishing this formal agent agreement would prove advantageous for Raimondi Cranes. Germany’s consistent construction and commercial sectors are high in opportunity, but, like many markets, require a well-established partner who is known in the industry. We’re confident that Kwitek, a four-decade strong family business, will take Raimondi’s market share to significant heights.”

Richard Kwitek added: “Kwitek Krane is scaling considerably through reinvesting in the business, this, together with our intention to continue positioning Raimondi Cranes widely, is a result of studying the German construction sector’s current needs and room for growth. We are pleased to represent Raimondi, an Italian heritage manufacturer with top-notch production, technical innovations, and extremely attentive aftersales service. We have previously supplied Raimondi cranes to some of the country’s most important jobsites, including Stadion am Laubenweg in Fürth, Bavaria, and Klinikum Weiden in Oberpfalz, the teaching hospital of the University of Regensburg. “
