Modified Fassi for Advanté

UK temporary office and welfare accommodation supplier Advanté has added a new specially modified loader crane to its fleet - a 78.5 tonne/metre Fassi F820 lmounted on a 32 tonne GVW Scania rigid eight-wheeler. With a payload of 7.5 tonnes the unit features twin front stabilisers allowing the lifting of the accommodation units - each weighing up to seven tonnes - through 360 degrees.

Advanté, Fassi dealer Walker Crane Services, Fassi UK and Scania were all involved in devising the front stabiliser solution which involved attaching a military-style NATO beam onto the front of the chassis, behind the front bumper onto which the extra pair of stabilisers are mounted
The ability to lift safely over the front of the vehicle, as well as over the side and rear, is said to make deliveries quicker and easier, particularly in London, where space is often limited.

Advanté's new Fassi F820 loader crane

The new model - supplied by Walker Crane Services - has a maximum reach of 30.45 metres with an eight-section boom and two manual extensions. The crane also has been supplied with a winch system.

Transport manager Andy Goldsmith said: “The new F820 has seven percent more capacity and new features than the F800. The operators find the touchscreen display on the side of the crane very helpful, which shows the position of the legs and the position of the load during the lift.”
