Haulotte up 11%

Haulotte has reported a flat third quarter, while year to date revenues are 11 percent higher than in 2015.

Total revenues for the nine months to the end of September were €343.4 million, and the best result for the period since 2008. Revenues were split as follows: Sales of new machines €288.3- 12 percent up on last year. Parts and service revenues €36.1 million eight percent up on the year, and rental just one percent higher at €19 million.

The growth was led by Europe, rising 30 percent, as companies in a number of markets began to invest again, the improvement in Asia Pacific continued rising seven percent to the end of September. Sales in North America fell 13 percent, although this compares to a record period last year which was 24 percent up on the prior year. South America on the other had declined a further 11 percent, following a 29 percent drop in 2015.

Haulotte is maintaining its previous forecast of ending the year five percent up on 2015, at around €470 million, which will be its highest revenues since 2007.

Vertikal Comment

This is another decent quarter for Haulotte, although the gains in Europe are exaggerated by lower revenues last year, while the US results compare to very strong gains made in 2015. All in the all the company is doing reasonably well and should continue to improve as Southern European markets, including France recover from a long slump.
