Banksman shocked

A banksman guiding a steel pole as it was lifted by a crane in Phoenix, Arizona yesterday was badly burnt after the crane boom came too close to an overhead power line.

The man, 23, was holding the pole when the power ran down it to earth, he suffered first and second-degree burns to his legs, but was awake and talking when paramedics arrived, he was rushed to a burns unit at a nearby hospital where is said to be stable.
