Shocked tree man

A man using a work platform to trim trees in Port Credit, Mississauga, Canada, to the south of Toronto, Canada on Saturday, accidentally cut into an overhead power line, receiving an electric shock that stopped his heart.

Paramedics were quickly on the scene and managed to rescue him and restart his heart through CPR and the use of a defibrillator. He was reportedly breathing and stable by the time he arrived at hospital, where he was treated for his injuries which included burns to the soles of his feet.

The platform was amongst the power lines


A second arborist was reportedly trapped in the cab of the truck mounted lift, due to the proximity of the fallen power line. He was frees after the local utility cut of the power and was uninjured.
