New Turkish distributor for Snorkel

Snorkel has appointed Turkish sales and service company Armak Machinery (Armak Dış Ticaret) as its official distributor for Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Armak is a new company formed jointly by the owners of Uzmanlar Platform, which produces truck mounted platforms, and the Arkon group an engineering and fabrication business. Its initial meeting with Snorkel, took place at Bauma in April. The company currently operates from an office in Besiktas, Istanbul and shares a warehouse facility with Uzmanlar. It also distributes Dinolift trailer lifts and booms.

Armak kicked off its new activity, which will provide sales, service and parts support for Snorkel products, at the recent Ankomak exhibition, in Istanbul. The company had four Snorkel lifts on its stand, all of which were sold, with further orders taken on the stand, including seven Snorkel A46 articulated boom lifts.

Snorkel’s director for the Middle East, Michael Wright said: “Armak Machinery are well respected in the construction equipment industry in Turkey, and has an excellent network of contacts, both in the rental and industrial sectors. Snorkel was previously distributed in Turkey by Enka Pazarlama, the company did issue a statement thanking the company for its service to the Snorkel brand in Turkey during its time as distributor.
