Kenz Figee acquired

Dutch offshore lifting specialist Kenz Figee has been acquired by Dutch investment company MeeMaken, which is owned by ex-Mammoet managers Roderik van Seumeren and Natasja Sesink. No financial details of the transaction have been disclosed.

Kenz Figee and its two operational units Kenz Cranes and Kenz Crane Services will continue to operate as a stand alone business, although it will receive day to day support from van Seumeren and Sesink.

Kenz Figee’s commercial director Robert de Rijcke said: “We believe that MeeMaken can lift us to the next professional level.”

This is the sixth company acquired or bought into by MeeMaken, which was established four years ago as a ‘participatory investor’ with the aim to build a portfolio of 10 companies in five years. The portfolio so far includes: Selmers, Euro-Rigging, Alltec Lifting Systems, Be One Development and HLT Solutions. The company also recently agreed to partner with recently formed Canadian heavy lift services company Liftwerx.

Van Seumeran left Mammoet in 2011 after five years as chief executive, while Sesink left in 2008, after six years as HR Manager, following three years as an HR advisor to Van Seumeren Holland.
