City Lifting takes first Böcker

UK crane rental company City Lifting has taken delivery of the first six tonne Böcker AK 46/6000 aluminium truck crane in its fleet.

The new crane, purchased through local distributor Kranlyft, features a 33 metre main boom, 11 metre offsetable jib, and two metre extension, for a maximum lifting height of 46 metres. The new crane can handle its six tonnes maximum capacity at eight metres or 250kg at 39.3 metres readius. It is mounted on a three axle MAN TGM26-290 chassis, with rear wheel steering.

The crane is also fitted with Technos 2 HBC coloured remote control system with real time feedback and function vibration, slew and boom angle restriction settings, automatic levelling, automatic outrigger position detection with corresponding load chart/range selection are all included. The unit has also been specified with the work platform option, which offers a working height of 43.4 metres. The platform is carried on the chassis and is said to be easy to set up and attach.

Just to clarify, this is not City Liftings first Bocker they now have 5 on there fleet.
This is the first 3 axle AK46-6000 purchased by Trevor Jepson at City LIfting .
Neil Berry also has this specification of crane and was the first crane rental company in the UK to run one.
ABA Crane Hire also have a 2 axle AK46-6000.
The 3 axle crane offers its duties through 360 degrees, 1 tonne at 26 metres , 500kgs at 34 metres and 250kgs at 39 metres.
It also has a host on new technology fitted as standard.
