Niftylift supports Armed Forces Day

UK aerial work platform manufacturer Niftylift has supported the UK’s new ‘Armed Forces Day’.

On Saturday, members of staff at Niftylift’s Milton Keynes and Hoyland facilities gathered in remembrance and support of past and current servicemen and women. The day is also an opportunity for civilians to stand together with service families, veterans and cadets.

The Milton Keynes branch was joined by a Daimler Ferret MK1-2 armoured vehicle

The team in Milton Keynes was joined by a Daimler Ferret MK1-2 armoured vehicle, supplied by one of the company’s development team. Built in 1962, the vehicle spent the majority of its active life as a reconnaissance vehicle in Germany during the cold war, but also toured the Gulf in 1991. It can withstand bullets of up to 50 caliber and can travel as fast in reverse as it can moving forward at 55 mph.
