New MD for Sutch

UK rental company John Sutch Cranes has appointed Hayley Sutch as managing director -designate- and opened a third depot.

The new depot, located in Bootle, is the company’s second in Liverpool. Built on a five acre site, it features an MOT test centre which the company will use to test its own vehicles and cranes, once the law changes to require cranes to be have an annual road-worthiness test come into force.

Hayley Sutch is the daughter of founder John Sutch, and joined the business in 1995, when she took on various account roles before working on the maintenance of the company’s accreditations. After receiving her NEBOSH general certification, she managed the health and safety department and has been a director for the past 12 months.

The company has also taken delivery of its new 160 tonne five axle Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 All Terrain crane, that featured on the Liebherr stand at Vertikal Days earlier this month. The new crane is equipped with a 62 metre six section telescopic boom and 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension. The new crane is also equipped with Liebherr’s new VarioBallast adjustable counterweight system and VarioBase outrigger set up option. The crane is powered by a single Stage 4/Tier 4 final emission regulations compliant six-cylinder Liebherr diesel.

Hayley Sutch said: “Liebherr manufactures the most popular machines in our fleet. We find they are modern and reliable with sales and after service care that is second to none. Choosing this model to add to our fleet was an easy decision, while our spacious new depot, is in an excellent location for motorway access and creates a modern, vibrant atmosphere for our staff to work in, gives us the room to expand.”
