Another acquisition for Sunbelt

Ashtead’s US rental business, Sunbelt Rentals has acquired the assets of Portable Rental Solutions and its sales division One Source Cooling.

Portable Rental Solutions provides portable cooling, heating, dehumidifiers and filtration systems in Dallas Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio, Austin and the Central Texas. One Source Cooling is the North American distributor for Airrex spot coolers, heat pumps and filtration systems.

Portable Rental was established in 2002 by Austin McCourt who will remain with Sunbelt for a transition period.

McCourt said: “We retained The Stansberry Firm to streamline and perfect my business with a long-term goal of attracting a buyer. We implemented their suggestions and earlier this year, when I was approached by two potential buyers, I asked them to step in to guide me through the process. I am pleased we found a buyer who will allow my management team to grow and prosper as well as offer my customers a broader range of products while retaining a high level of customer service.”
