Latest Böckers for Berry Cranes

UK-based rental company Berry Cranes has taken delivery of two of the recently introduced Böcker aluminium boomed cranes - the flagship AK46-6000 and the AK37-4000.

Berry Cranes has taken delivery of two of the recently introduced Böcker aluminium boomed cranes - the flagship AK46-6000 and the AK37-4000


The smaller 4,000kg capacity AK37-4000 has a maximum tip height of 37 metres and has been taken with the optional two metre manual boom extension mounted on a 7.5 tonne Mercedes Benz Atego 816 chassis.

The new AK46-6000 is mounted on the three axle Man TGM 26-290 and has a maximum capacity of six tonnes at eight metres and a maximum tip height of 46 metres again with a two metre boom extension. The crane can take 1,000kg to 26 metres and 250kg to 39 metres through 260 degrees.

Both cranes have a range of standard options to include automatic levelling, slew restriction, boom angle restriction, automatic boom retraction and a new HBC remote control unit with colour screen. Both are fitted with fuel-efficient Euro 6 engines and offer low outrigger pressure and axle loadings and can accept the optional 250kg capacity access platforms with power to platform via an independent power source.

Berry Cranes, based in Towcester, South Northamptonshire now has one of the largest fleets of Böcker cranes in the UK. The company also has several ATs including a new four axle 70 tonne Tadano ATF 70G-4L delivered in April.
