Loxam buys Spreeuwenberg

News broke today that Loxam, the French based rental group has purchased Rotterdam based access company van Spreeuwenberg Hoogwerk Systemen B.V.
While we have managed to confirm that the deal has in fact been done, we have not yet been able to obtain any details.
Spreeuwenberg was established in 1974 as a scaffold and ladder rental company and later moved into powered access. The steel scaffold business was sold a few years ago, leaving the Alloy towers, ladders and aerial lifts.
The company has six locations, four of which are sales and rental outlets, in Amsterdam, Den Bosch, Rotterdam and Zwolle. It has a fleet estimated to be around 800 to 900 units.
Loxam currently operates in eight countries, including Belgium and Luxembourg. This will be its largest operation in the region. It also replicates what it has done in the UK where it bought PTP and operates solely as an access rental business. In other markets it is in general rental.
