Another 220t Tadano for Crowland

UK rental company Crowland Cranes has taken delivery of a new, 220 tonne ATF 220G-5 All Terrain crane with the latest UK specification. The new Euro 4, five axle crane features a 68 metre main boom with an extra 37.2 metres when the full bi-fold swingaway extension is installed.

“The crane has a special counterweight configuration for the UK which allows it to travel with 18.3 tonnes of ballast and still comply to the 16.5 tonne axle loads,” said Jim Leishman, Tadano UK’s southern cranes sales manager. “It also has a new cabin and is equipped with asymmetric outrigger’s and Tadado’s lift adjuster.”

The ATF 220 is the company’s fourth Tadano to be delivered in the last six months and follows two 40 tonne ATF 40G-2s and a 100 tonne ATF 100G-4. All four cranes are part of a planned renewal programme.

Crowland's new five-axle ATF 220G-5 All Terrain crane

The latest ATF 220G-5 joins an existing model and will operate from the company’s Norwich depot.

Peter Issitt of Crowland said: “Our experience of trouble free and low maintenance running with the first ATF220G-5 made the purchase of this second machine an easy choice for us. The latest ATF100G brings our total of this model to three units. It is a popular ‘taxi’ crane which can carry its full complement of ballast. The ATF40 machines again are a proven crane and work well within our fleet.”
