Smiths adds to transport fleet

UK rental company Smiths Hire has taken delivery of its second DAF 8x2 delivery truck.

The new four-axle truck, fitted with Sterling’s beavertail access body, is fully hot dipped galvanized, wiith gridlock decking. the truck also features Sterling’s swing-out guardrail system increasing deck space by 250mm when deployed.

Based in Blackpool, Smiths has provided equipment and tool hire to the industry for over 40 years. Its rental fleet consists of aerial work platforms general equipment and tools. It also runsIPAF, PASMA and first aid training courses from its facilities in Blackpool, Manchester, Warrington and Preston.
