Hoist collapse injures two

A passenger hoist collapsed in Örebro, Sweden last week injuring the two passengers. The police and safety inspectors are investigating and have suggested that human error is to blame.

The car dropped around eight metres before falling to the ground, we understand that the injured are not seriously hurt.

The hoist, a new looking Geda MultiLift had apparently only recently been installed on the site on the south side of Orebro. Perhaps it was lucky more people had not been using the hoist when the failure occurred?
