Marti group now Ruthmann Italia

German truck mounted lift manufacturer Ruthmann is to change the corporate name of the Marti group, parent company of Bluelift, RAM and KLM, to Ruthmann Italia S.r.l. following its acquisition earlier this month.

The supervisory board of the renamed company will include Gianni Marti along with Uwe Strotmann and Rolf Kulawik of Ruthmann. Company founder Paolo Marti will be responsible for manufacturing and purchasing, Roberto Marti will manage production and Gianpiero Marti will be sales and marketing manager.

The Marti group production facility at Montescudo, near Rimini, will continue to build Bluelift spider lifts and a range of truck mounted platforms, although the RAM brand will not continue to be used and will most likely be replaced with Ruthmann.

The deal - which gives Ruthmann a 60 percent stake in the group – includes plans for a significant expansion of production capacity, which had been an issue for the Bluelift range in particular.

As we previously reported, Ruthmann has already taken over the sales and service of all Bluelift and Ram products in Germany and Austria. While international distributors will most likely remain the same, along with the Bluelift branding, at least where Bluelift is already well established. No mention yet of what will happen with the KLM loader crane product line or brand, but clearly the main focus going forward will be on truck mounted and spider lifts.
