First Barin for Norway

Norwegian rental company Drammen Liftutleie has taken delivery of the country’s first Barin, an AB 20/S underbridge inspection platform.

Mounted on a 26 tonne Man TGS 6x2 LL chassis, the bucket-type underbridge work platform offers up to 23.2 metres of below ground reach and up to 19 metres of horizontal underbridge outreach with a 280kg platform capacity. Requiring only a single traffic lane to set up and work from, it is also able to clear bridge barriers with heights of up to 5.1 metres and has an above ground working height of 21 metres.

The new unit has been equipped with Barin’s modem system, which allows the manufacturer to remotely monitor and diagnose the electronics as well as adjust the working envelope in special circumstances.

Based in Holmestrands, Southern Norway, Drammen has rented out construction machinery and equipment since 1985. It has a fleet of around 800 units consisting of 350 aerial lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, excavators and mini cranes.
