New 50 tonner for Ellis

UK rental company Ellis Crane Hire has taken delivery of a new 50 tonne Tadano ATF 50G-3 All Terrain crane.

The three axle ATF 50G-3 features a 40 metre main boom plus 16 metre bi-fold swingaway for a maximum on board tip height of almost 60 metres, and offset by 20 or 40 degrees. The order follows the purchase last year of two 40 tonne Tadano ATF 40G-2 All Terrains.

Based in Brookthorpe, Gloucestershire, the family run business was founded by Bill Ellis in 1982, and has been providing crane hire and contract lifting services across the region ever since. The company which is now managed day to day by Simon Ellis, currently runs a fleet of 10 cranes from Grove, Tadano, Terex, and Kato.

Simon Ellis said: “Our recent modernisation programme now includes three Tadano cranes and we are delighted to add the ATF 50G-3. We have experienced excellent reliability from our ATF 40G-2, which made the decision to add a second one along with the ATF 50G-3 an easy one. We have formed a good working relationship with Tadano UK where Jim Leishman and the team have provided excellent support, with their ‘can do’ attitude and good customer relations.”
