Bigge celebrates its Centenary at Bauma

US based Bigge Crane and Rigging of San Leandro, California is celebrating its 100th year in business at Bauma. It has purchased a number of cranes at the show, with its long term achievements recognised by most of the major manufacturer’s.

On the Liebherr stand it confirmed further orders for the 300 tonne LR1300 lattice crawler crane, in which hit played a role in its development and now runs the world’s largest LR1300 fleet.

On the Manitowoc it has its name on the new Grove 90 tonne GRT8100 Rough Terrain, adding to its fleet of 100 Manitowocs and 12 Potain Igo self-erecting tower cranes. Bigge chief executive Weston Settlemier was also presented with a 100 year commemoration award.
He was also presented with an award on the Alimak stand, where the company purchased more Scando 650 and 450 hoists, which will join its 100 strong Alimak hoist fleet. On Tuesday the company will be on the Tadano stand and will also be recognised by Kobelco.

Bigge spreads the message at Bauma


Bigge chief executive Weston Settlemier said: “Our company has grown and prospered since 1916 by expanding and modernising our fleet of cranes, rigging, hoists, and hauling equipment. Offering customers access to high quality cranes is just one way that we achieve this goal”.
