New Tadano for Berry

UK based rental company Berry Cranes has taken delivery of a new four axle 70 tonne Tadano ATF 70G-4L.

The all-wheel steer, six wheel drive All Terrain crane features a 52.1 metre main boom plus a 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension giving a maximum tip height of 69.5 metres. The crane is unusual for its size in that it features two engines- having its own smaller superstructure engine.

Based in Northamptonshire, close to the Silverstone Formula 1 track, Berry Cranes has been providing crane hire and contract lifting services in the area for more than 15 years.

Niel Berry (L) takes delivery of the new ATF 70G-4L from James Leishman of Tadano

Managing director Neil Berry said: "Boom length and variable outrigger base was a major consideration for this crane. We also looked at three axle options and with less than a 3/4 metre longer chassis on the four axle Tadano, it gives far reduced axle weights and still provides twin engines, this coupled with a very strong duty chart complemented the other machines in our modern fleet all of which hare under six years old"
