Brian Sylvester 1943-2016

We have received the sad news that UK crane operator, technician and salesman Brian Sylvester has died after a long illness.
He passed away on March 30th at Compton Hospice, Wolverhampton after a three year battle with cancer. He was 73.

His career included a number of years as a heavy crane operator with Richards & Wallington Crane Hire, which became BCHC before joining overload/load moment system distributor CTI -PAT as a sales engineer.
He leaves behind wife Maria, two sons - Adrian and Nathan – and a step daughter Louise.

His funeral will be held on Thursday 14th April at 10:30 in St Mary's Catholic Church, Wharf Lane Brewood, ST 19 BG. A reception will then be held and the family would appreciate it if anyone wishing to attend could call John O’Hara on 01889 584720 Mobile 0771 3651956

Sad news. Its a real pity that we hear good old names because they have passed away. Nice photo as he looks like he is enjoying life. Not like the wet and windy sites or depots we used to meet on. Brain along with some very good colleagues always had an solution to our problems at Demag on the SLI systems. Thoughts are for his family.

I worked with him at BCHC all those years ago and only seems a few years ago, a man who knew what a crane was. There are so few left in this industry with the amount of experience and knowledge that Brian had as Sherm said dedication Strutts, Crawlers and Teles that was Brian

Didn't really it in a 7te Fairy at Rotherham tho once
