Spierings for Thomas and Ainscough

Dutch mobile tower crane manufacturer Spierings delivered two new six axle SK1265-AT6 in the UK last month.

The first went to North Wales based Bryn Thomas, the company’s fourth unit of this model. The SK1265-AT6 has proven to be one of the company’s most popular models and features a maximum capacity of 10 tonnes at 13.5 metres radius, and a 60 metre jib with 1,700kg jib tip capacity..

Bryn Thomas director Janus Thomas said: “We are delighted to add another SK 1265-AT6 to our fleet, these machines have proven to be very popular to our customers.”

The second unit was delivered to the UK’s largest crane rental company Ainscough Crane Hire, which also runs Liebherr MK mobile tower cranes. Andrew Winter, general manager Ainscough Heavy Crane division: said “We investigated the market for the mobile tower cranes in the past year, and moved the mobile tower cranes from the tower crane division to the mobile crane division. We have seen that Spierings is the largest supplier for mobile tower cranes in the UK. They have developed their product to a very high standard and their cranes are very well accepted in the market.”

Other Spierings crane deliveries to the UK in the first two months of the year include two four axle SK 597-AT4s, one to London based City Lifting and another to Norfolk based Quinto.
