New VP engineering for Trojan

US based Trojan Battery has appointed Michael Everett as senior vice president of engineering

Based at Trojan’s headquarters in Santa Fe Springs, California, Everett will oversee the company’s product development, research and development, process engineering and technical support.

Everett joins Trojan from Maxwell Technologies an energy storage company focused on the ultra-capacitor market, where he was chief technical officer responsible for the execution of the overall corporate research and technology strategy. During his 13 and a half years with the company, Everett led a wide range of technology teams focusing on innovation, and resulting in over 100 patents and patent filings. Prior joining Maxewell he spent three and a half years with 3D Systems as senior director, development engineering and before that he was with Industrial Tools Inc.

Trojan chief executive Jeff Elder said: “Michael has a proven track record of executing research and technology strategies to bring innovative energy storage products to market. His diverse expertise across a wide range of industries makes Michael uniquely qualified to lead Trojan’s strategic product engineering road maps. This experience will play a key role in our business growth and market share expansion strategies.”
