€7.3 million Lavendon order for Ruthmann

UK based international rental company Lavendon has placed another substantial order for Ruthmann truck mounted lifts

The order for 42 new machines, worth €7.3 million, covers fleet additions and replacements for both Gardemann in Germany and Nationwide Platforms in the UK. It also makes the group the manufacturer’s largest single customer.

Nationwide will take a further five 33 mete T 330 models on 7.5 tonne chassis plus two 28 metre T285 HV 10 models on 10 tonne trucks, which allows a significantly narrower outrigger jacking base, compared to the more usual 7.5 tonne chassis.

In Germany Gardemann will take a total of 35 new units, including 29 with working heights from 17 to 33 metres on 3.5 and 7.5 tonne trucks, including Ruthmann’s new 17 metre T 170 models on 7.5 tonne chassis for municipal applications. Finally the order includes six larger machines topped out by the 63 metre T 630.

Some of the latest new Ruthmann truck mounted lifts for Gardemann

Gardemann sales and marketing director Gerrit Sellmer said: “Through innovative developments, Ruthmann offers working height, reach capacity, and stability on 3.5 tonne chassis that until recently had only been available on significantly heavier vehicles. After all of the positive customer feedback we received for the 50 new truck-mounts last year, it was clear that we would continue with Ruthmann products. Since last summer, our new work platforms have been in constant use and well proven”.
