ALE takes 240 Scheuerle SPMTs

Heavy transport and lifting company ALE has taken delivery of 240 Scheuerle Self Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs) axle lines.  The 60 tonne capacity axle lines - fitted with 15 inch tyres - are the world’s highest capacity SPMTs on the market according to ALE.
 
With EU 4/ EPA Tier 4 final exhaust emission certification, the trailers are fitted with environmentally friendly power packs and also have a much higher capacity than previous models.

ALE’s new generation of trailers has increased its fleet by 14,400 tonnes and will mainly be utilised by the UK and Netherlands.
 
ALE technical director Ronald Hoefmans said: “By investing in the latest generation of trailers it positions us at the forefront of the industry, pushing the boundaries for the world’s highest SPMT capacity and solving the challenges for our clients.” 

Bernd Schwengsbier of Scheuerle parent Tll said: “70 percent of all transports over 3,000 tonnes and 90 percent of all transports over 5,000 tonnes worldwide are done with vehicles manufactured by us. The innovations we develop steadily are the reason for this predominance.”
