Clean fuel for Mammoet Netherlands

Dutch heavy lift company Mammoet is switching from diesel to Shell GTL (gas-to-liquids) fuel on its cranes and trucks at its operations in the Netherlands, in order to reduce emissions and noise levels.

The company has already started introducing the cleaner-burning fuel on its 200 cranes and 50 trucks, and will shortly be available at three of the company’s locations - Schiedam, Velsen-Noord and Geleen.

Mammoet Europe managing director Sander Splinter said: “Many of our clients are conscious of the need for environmental improvement and we think that choosing Shell GTL Fuel will help us to make a contribution by giving them a competitive edge.
