HDW acquires Time Benelux

Netherlands based distributor HDW has acquired Time Benelux, the Belgian distributor for Versalift and Ruthmann. The business has been renamed HDW Belux. All employees of Time Benelux will continue in the new organisation.

HDW Belux will establish its headquarters at the Time Benelux depot in Tienen, Belgium, and will concentrate on the sales and service of Versalift and Ruthmann vehicle mounted lifts, and will also add Genie to its range.

HDW has been the Genie distributor for the Benelux region since 1995. It added the Time Versalift distribution for the Netherlands in July of last year. It also distributes Isoli truck mounted lifts and Teupen spider lifts.

HDW managing director Andries Schouten said: “This acquisition is part of our drive to further improve our sales and service activities in Belgium and Luxembourg. It will provide HDW with a perfect home base to serve the Benelux market in a professional way”.

The HDW Belux team will be reinforced with the addition of Mike Van den Bosch of HDW, who will be responsible for all commercial activities for all three brands. He will also continue his role as market development manager for HDW’s international activities, mostly in Spain and Portugal.

Meanwhile Gust Antonissen - previously with Allift-Michielsens – has joined the company as Genie service coordinator, while Bart Steensels will continue in his previous role as technical engineer and Versalift/Ruthmann service coordinator.

Sven Seldeslachts will take over responsibility for the operational activities of the business, and the company is currently recruiting two more service engineers to join the technical team.

The acquisition has been full supported by all three manufacturers - Time Versalift, Ruthmann and Genie.
