From my decades in the hire industry I can honestly say that a good blend of experienced people along with a new blood with new ideas is very healthy. I have found that new people are more likely to get the best hire rates as they are not tainted with old habits, fear and pre-conceived views.
So Anna, we wish you all the best. Listen to the old timers but introduce fresh and vibrant ideas such as ways of achieving financial returns that make sense in an sector that still is problematic.

Perhaps its Roger Moore or Sean Connery or even Bob Downey.

Its really Dave Gunn but I still don't see the relevance.

Perhaps if you checked your replies you will see I answered your request with my name, Bob Jones.

My late father has no relevance.

You have my name now.

For the record I am not an employee of Ainscough and have not been for a very long time. I have no axe to grind with the company but it's obvious that having the Ainscough name on the boom does not mean it's the same professional company.

And if everyone is hiding then so are you

I find it very disrespectful to use a new employees introduction as a platform to vent employees insecurities. There is a time and place for that and its not here. I have no allegiance to Ainscough or the individual introduced, however its perhaps the critics and those who hide behind sites like this are the real people who "struggle to have relationships with their staff"

Totally agree Andrew Winter is one of the cleverest people in Crane Hire and there are also other people there who know what they're doing. But it's being run by bean counters and that never works.

Martin James and Brandon knew what they were doing when they got out.

I will never be silenced.

Andrew Winter is a decent enough guy. I firmly believe he's playing the game and keeping his head down though. Don't upset the MD or you'll likely find yourself off the payroll.

And in response to CFK88 the reason why I said take heed is because the current Ainscough regime is to threaten you if you have any opinion on the company, there has been many operators silenced with the threat of being sacked for small things like moaning .

In response to Mr Mellor's post you are right Mr Winter is a great guy and he knows the crane Industry like the back of his hand, but sadly even tho he is management he is governed by Head office and the likes of the MD who knows nothing about cranes. What would of been a better idea is putting Mr Winter higher up the ladder and let him have more control.

Why should we heed the fact ainscough monitor all social media. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Good senior management is all about understanding what is good about a business, then expanding on those themes. Bringing new people in from other industries who have fresh ideas / perspectives is usually a good thing.

The above is not what ACH have done. They've flooded the company with people who have no idea about the industry. The blind leading the blind is an understatement when describing the current operation.

More than ever customers who hire mobile cranes are looking to deal with experts in their field.

We are all aware that Ainscough management monitor everything on social media so please take heed of this, if you keep putting outsiders (people not from a crane background) in high positions like you are the company will not survive, I'm aware that all companies benefit from highly skilled people from all walks of life but you don't seem to have any from the crane industry at the top level, I'm sure this women is very good at her job within her industry but crane hire is a whole new ball game. Ainscough have some extremely experienced guys in the company that could make this company great again, start opening your eyes Ainscough and use your staff to there full potential.

Is there any senior management within Ainscough that has ever delt with cranes?? You have a MD that has come from a generator hire Buisness that seems to struggle to have any relationship with staff below him, seems like a recipe for disaster to me.
