Dieci commits to FTP engines

Italian telehandler manufacturer Dieci has signed a long term supply agreement with FPT –Fiat Power Train - as its preferred power train supplier.

Dieci’s relationship with Fiat/CNH began in the 1980s, and going forward will include the the engine manufacturer's 92 to 125 kW, NEF 45 Stage IV engines, alongside the NEF 45 Stage IIIA/Stage IIIB for lower emission territories outside of Europe. The engines provided have specific torque curves for telehandler applications, with on-road engine braking capabilities, which can save wear and tear on brakes, especially in heavy duty mining work.

In its Stage IIIB engines, FPT Industrial uses a urea-based Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) (Ad Blue) strategy to comply with emissions regulations, and adds a patented High Efficiency Selective Catalytic Reduction (HI-eSCR) after-treatment system with its Stage IV engines - reducing nitrogen oxide emissions by more than 95 percent.

A Dieci Agric Plus telehandler

The Dieci telehandler that claimed a Guinness World Record for the longest journey made by a telescopic handler within a specific time frame, was powered by an FPT Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Interim engine, matched to a Dieci Vario System EVO 2 transmission system with continuous speed variation.

The telehandler made the 878 km journey from Dieci's factory in Montecchio, Italy, to Humpolec in the Czech Republic with standard equipment. See Dieci goes for a world Record
