Custom courses and open enrolment is available at the new at the Centered on Safety Training Center at West Georgia’s Murphy Campus in Waco, Georgia. The college is also looking for companies willing to loan equipment for use on the courses – see details below.

Crane Industry Services chief executive Debbie Dickinson said: “Our partnership with West Georgia Tech opens opportunities for employers to provide hands on, job specific training for personnel and students seeking to enter the crane and rigging industry. We bring accredited programmes and certified instructors with on-the-job experience for the purpose of developing skilled craftspeople that America desperately needs to compete in the global economy. Test prep courses have minimal value when training is not relevant to the knowledge and skill employees need for day-to-day work”.

West Georgia president Steve Daniel said: “The deep industry expertise of Crane Industry Services allows us to offer greatly expanded training in technically challenging programme areas. This is a big benefit for area industries who need this training”.
