First heavy-lift LHM 800

The Russian Port of Bronka has taken delivery of the first Liebherr LHM 800 mobile harbour crane configured for heavy lifting.

Designed for handling oversized and heavy cargo, the LHM 800 is equipped with a reinforced 64 metre boom which can lift up to 308 tonnes. Topping Liebherr’s seven model LHM range, the LHM 800 weighs 820 tonnes and features 36 axles with 144 tyres. It was shipped fully assembled on a modified open deck vessel which required a custom designed ramp to board.

The first LHM 800 configured for container handling was ordered by Montecon (see: Montecon to take first LHM 800) and is currently being manufactured at Liebherr’s facility in Rostock.
