30,000 photos

We uploaded the 30,000th photograph to the Vertikal.Net database earlier today, all of which are can be viewed through the 23,000 new stories that are also hosted on the site.

Due to poor planning on our part photograph 30,000 was a relatively insignificant mood setting picture taken at this weekend’s Platformers Days in Germany.

The 30,000th photograph was just an orange intro shot from Platformers Days

The very first photograph uploaded was of Leopold Mayrhofer - Geschäftsführer of Ring Lift at the time - which appeared in a German language story on March 30th 2001. The first photograph to appear on the English language web site was photo number two, which appeared in a story about the new Ruthmann TTS1000 on April 4th 2001. It is shown below:

It took almost 10 years to upload the first 10,000 with photo 10,000 uploaded on January 22nd 2010, it featured Gabrielle Valli of Isoli and Julien Bourrelis of Time France celebrating the French distribution company becoming Isoli’s top dealer.

The 20,000th photo came just two years later on 17th January 2013 and was a tandem lift between two Terex Gottwald mobile harbour cranes a G HMK 3405 and the a G HMK 8610 to demonstrate its Tandem Lift Assistant in Rendsburg Port Authority in Schleswig-Holstein
