New crawler boom from JLG

JLG has launched a new 40ft track mounted telescopic boom lift - the 400SC – at Matexpo in Belgium today.

The new boom, which will have pride of place on the stand of its Belgian distributor TVH Equipment is based on the regular 400 and offers over 11metres of outreach with dual platform capacities of 270kg unrestricted or 450kg with restricted outreach. Other features include 360 degree continuous slew, variable engine speed control for improved fuel consumption and quieter operation and Dura Tough covers.

Karel Huijser, general manager of JLG Europe, Africa and Middle East said: “The 400SC is a great example of customer-oriented product development. During the design stages, we worked closely with loyal distributors such as TVH in Belgium and Riwal in the Netherlands to understand what is required from a crawler boom. The traditional construction market and large infrastructure projects demand product that provides outreach, extreme terrain capabilities and lift speed. With the arrival of the 400SC, we have met that demand.”

TVH will also show the 100.000th JLG telehandler, first seen at Intermat and then Vertikal Days earlier this year. The machine, a 4017RS will be auctioned in early December with all of the proceeds donated to the buyer’s charity of choice.
After Matexpo the two machines above will move to the Netherlands to star on the Riwal stand at Verticaal Dagen
