First Sennebogen 6130 in UK

Poole Harbour Commissioners has taken delivery of the UK’s first Sennebogen 6130 HCC (Harbour Crawler Crane) from E H Hassell & Sons.

The 84 tonne capacity 6130 HCC will be handling high volumes of rebar in the port with some bundles up to 25 tonnes, making the HCCs four metre pylon and telescopic elevating cab essential, giving operators excellent high level visibility and the ability to adjust to the required level.

“We also included a hydraulic tag line to operate bulk grabs up to 20 tonnes capacity, efficiently and safely,” said Paul Gillingham, engineering manager at Poole Harbour Commissioners.” From our side we have future proofed the machine, which will allow us to grow our business in coming years.”

10 years ago Poole Harbour Commissioners was the first port in the UK to take delivery of a Sennebogen 870 R port material handler. The company handles various cargoes including ball clay, roadstone, timber, rebar, beams, pipes, bricks, sand, organic animal feeds and grains. It also supplies the Channel Islands, three times per week.
