Second location for Star Platforms

UK rental company Star Platforms has opened a new depot - its second location – near Sevenoaks in Kent.

The company, established in Luton, Bedfordshire, in October last year, is co-owned by Steve Simmons, Richard Miller and Bryan Freeman, all seasoned veterans of the UK powered access industry. It currently runs a fleet of scissor lifts, boom lifts and low-level access equipment with working heights of up to 22 metres.

Star Platforms new depot in Borough Green, Kent


The new branch is in Borough Green, has been strategically located to serve London and the Home Counties, including Kent, Essex, East Sussex and Surrey. The new location has kicked of with a team of four new employees.

Joint managing director Richard Miller said: “Demand for our hire service is strong so we are delighted to now provide our customers with coverage right across London and the South East via two depots either side of London. As members of the national hire group The Access Alliance we are also well placed to deliver platforms throughout the UK.”

Sales director Bryan Freeman, who will closely oversee operations at the new location added: “We have already added a number of brand new, market leading machines for the new Kent depot and have also invested in our own delivery vehicles with experienced, IPAF trained drivers. As always our focus is to continue providing a first class, dependable service to all who hire from us”.
