B-Lift for Italian fire service

Lucca Fire Brigade, based in Tuscany, Italy, has taken delivery of a second 18 metre CTE B-Lift 187 truck mounted lift for carrying out rescue operations.

Donated by the charity Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio of Lucca city, the B-Lift 187 offers an outreach of 12.7 metres and a platform capacity of 250kg. It has also been adapted for fire fighting operations and features a 250 volt socket, a water/air connection, a light on the platform and flashing lights.

The commander of the Lucca team Moreno Andreuccetti, said: “The boom of this platform is very stable and over the years we have never had problems, it requires very little maintenance. During the rescue work following the tornado that recently hit on the Versilia seaside, we had a great ally.”
