Liebherr in 100 countries

Liebherr has now delivered mobile harbour cranes to more than 100 countries, following recent deliveries to Haiti, Suriname and Luxemburg.

Port Laftio, a newly built port in the Haiti, has taken delivery of two 84 tonne LHM 420s equipped with Liebherr’s fleet management system LiDAT, while Surinam based stevedoring company N.V VSH Transport has taken delivery of a LHM 280 for the Port of Paramaribo. Finally Luxemburg-based Luxport has taken delivery of a LHM 420 for the Port de Mertert. Equipped with a 124 tonne winch and with an outreach of 48 metres, the LHM 420 has been fitted with the company’s Vertical Line Finder, which ensures that the load is perfectly vertical.

Liebherr delivered its first mobile harbour cranes to three European countries in 1974, while in 2014 alone it delivered to 35 countries. To date, Spain has taken delivery of the highest number of Liebherr mobile harbour cranes with more than 100 units, and has consistently taken delivery of at least one unit a year since 1998, with as many as 13 units in 2007 and 2008.
