JLGs for Aeroflot

Russian airline Aeroflot has taken delivery of four 26ft JLG 260 MRT scissor lifts from sales and rental company Vertex.

The diesel powered compact Rough Terrain scissor lifts offer a working height of almost 10 metres, a platform capacity of 567kg and a 1.22 metre platform extension with a platform capacity of 136kg.

Dmitry Pankin of Vertex said: “There were several stages of the tender, and a different number of suppliers participated in each of them. They were well-known Russian distributors of lifting equipment and foreign enterprises related to the airline industry. Our company won because we offered more favourable terms to customers, including below average costs and short delivery times.”

Two of the four JLG 260 MRT scissor lifts destined for Russian airline Aeroflot

Aeroflot is currently working on a long-term replacement and update programme of its aerial work platform fleet, as it expands its terminals, warehouses and hangars. The new scissor lifts will also be used to assist with the maintenance and repair work of the company’s Boeing planes and other aviation equipment.
