First SJ86T for Germany

Hamburg-based rental company AFI Rent has taken delivery of the first 86ft Skyjack SJ86T telescopic boom lift in Germany.

Launched alongside the 82ft SJ82T at The ARA/Rental Show in February, the new boom provides 28 metres of working height and up to 23.4 metres of outreach. Weighing just over 17 tonnes, the four wheel drive boom provides a 340kg platform capacity, 45 percent gradeability and 360 degree continuous slew. Its 1.68 metre jib has 125 degrees of articulation.

AFI’s head of marketing Clemens Streit, said: “The SJ86T is a new product in the 25 to 35 metre telescopic boom market, which is a category AFI Rent is looking to invest more in. The machine’s 340kg platform capacity, allows up to three people to work from the platform. The time and money saved by using the SJ86 T is something our customers will greatly value.”
