Atlas /Loxam acquires Maroc Elevation

The Moroccan subsidiary of France’s Access Industrie - Maroc Elévation – has been acquired by Atlas Rental, the Loxam franchise/joint venture in Morrocco. The sale is the last disposal of Access Industrie's international operations.

Maroc Elévation was founded in 2008 and runs around 200 machines from a network of three branches in Casablanca, Tangier and El Jadida. Atlas is a joint venture between Moroccan industrial group and equipment distributor Stockvis and Loxam France, it was established in January 2011 See Loxam moves into Morocco . The company trades under the Loxam brand from three locations - Casablanca, Tangier and Jorf Lasfar. A fourth branch is due to be opened shortly in Marrakech. Atlas Rental is a joint venture between Loxam France and Moroccan group Stokvis.

Atlas chairman Saïd Alj said: “I am pleased to announce the acquisition of Maroc Elévation and I am delighted to welcome all of its employees into our group. This acquisition will enable Atlas Rental to increase its market share in equipment rental in Morocco and diversify its fleet into powered access equipment.”

Accès Industrie founder and chairman Daniel Duclos added: “I am proud to have created and developed this activity in Morocco and to have made Maroc Elevation one of the leaders in access equipment rental with its three branches. Following Access Industrie’s disengagement from international activities - we ceased our activities in Spain and Portugal in 2013.”
