Lucky escape in Bangkok

A mobile crane overturned in Bangkok yesterday, with the boom falling across rail tracks and landing on two cars, injuring one person.

The incident occurred near Don Muang train station on the north side of the city yesterday morning, the crane owned by the Italian Thai construction company, was working on a new station on a new elevated electric train track, from Laksi to Don Muang, when it appears that the ground gave way under one of the rear outriggers, causing the crane to overturn.
