Two big Liebherrs for Dornseiff

German rental company Dornseiff has taken delivery of a 500 tonne Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 All Terrain and a 250 tonne LR 1250 crawler crane.

The eight axle LTM 1500-8.1, now the company’s flagship crane, features a 50 metre main boom and a 91 metre luffing fly jib, providing a 142 metre maximum under hook height and 108 metre maximum working radius. It will be used for infrastructure projects and for wind power jobs. The 250 tonne LR 1250 will join the company’s fleet of lattice boom crawler cranes based in Olpe. When fitted with its luffing jib it can provide under hook heights of up to 140 metres.

Company managing director Wolfgang Dornseiff, said: “The LTM 1500-8.1 is a time-tested machine with sophisticated technology for universal use. The LR 1250 also provides very high load capacities on its luffing jib, and what's more we can react to a very wide range of site profiles due to the crane's very flexible set-up and using its hydraulic track adjustment."
