LTS buys first telehandlers

UK rental company LTS Powered Access has moved into the telehandler market with the purchase of several compact Genies.

Following a visit to Genie’s production facility in Umbertide, Italy, the company decided to purchase several GTH-2506 telehandlers. Fitted with a Stage IIIB engine, the telehandlers have a maximum lift height of 5.79 metres and a reach of 3.35 metres. Maximum lift capacity is 2.5 tonne, while lift capacity at maximum height is two tonnes. A hydrostatic transmission offers travel speeds of up to 15mph, while the short wheelbase and four-wheel drive and steer also makes it very manoeuvrable.

Joint managing directors Paul Fairhall and Steve Uragallo, said: “Genie is one of the market leaders for scissor lifts and booms, which made this a logical decision for our expanding hire fleet. We intend to grow our telehandler fleet over the coming months, and look forward to our long trading relationship with Genie. It is great to be moving into a new market sector by listening to our customers’ demands and needs.”
